This was created in response to criticism of Phase-Out’s steps 1 and 2’s difficult response times (>700 sales, 36 countries in 1 year).

Phase-Out was created based on increasing effectiveness of the "Padden-Choy" procedure from 2000 to 2010 in worldwide trials from 61% to 81% of 3 dB (50%) reduction of tinnitus, until the results jumped to 64 of 64 consecutive patients responding (8.3 db or 86%) in 2011. We do not claim 100%, because there is no 100% in medical research. Patient number 65 could be a failure. It was patented and FDA approved in 2003.

The Padden-Choy procedure is based on assessment of frequency (Hz) and volume (dB) of your tinnitus + playback into your brain of a complex web of 180 degree reversed phase waves in one hour.

Mathematically proven to cancel your tinnitus 1/3 of the time, proven by fMRI of the brain. Robert Padden was our first patient treated in 2000, and was free of a 20 year history of tinnitus for 11 years when he passed away from cancer. This procedure is named in his honor with consent from his widow. Each patient was charged $2100 which provided a 1 hour consultation and 3 days of a technician "hand-holding" self-assessment of frequency and volume and a one hour playback of a 180 degree reversal of these waves into the brain daily x 3.

For $10, Phase-Out II provides the user with a self-help assessment of frequency & volume followed by playback into the brain of 180 degree reversal of the same complex of waves for 1 hour daily x 3.

Since this is a self-help program it takes patience, patience, patience.
Step 1 - matching frequency

Day 1 - In a quiet room, with dB set at 20, headphones on, soft felt tip pen in hand, speed knob set at high, (3 oclock), start machine. You will hear a rising tone. Halfway to your tinnitus tone, switch speed knob to 12 oclock - mid-speed; as the tone nears your tinnitus tone, turn speed knob to slow (9 oclock). Do a trial run to decide when to start slowing down.

The triangle is set from the left between the horizontal line and the waves. Please mark the horizontal line LEFT end 150, 3000, 6000 9000, 12,000 and 15,000 Hz on right end.

Be ready with the pen! As soon as the headphones tone matches your tinnitus tone, stop the machine and make a small mark in the triangular area. On the first day, do this 2-3 times for accuracy (this is very very important).

Days 2 and 3, repeat above. Keep only the single mark nearest your tinnitus tone.

Step 2 - matching volume

Days 4, 5 and 6 with the machine set at the frequency. The marks are placed in the triangle (at the single mark above) repeat the steps above. Do it 2 to 3 times to get used to it and for accuracy. At the end you are left with a single mark for dB. Now you have 2 marks - one in each of the two triangles.

With these steps you have achieved great accuracy and only in 6 days. Your chances of success are very, very high!

Step 3 - last one!

Day 7 - You only have to find a match for the frequency and one for the dB. With the guidance of the 2 remaining marks + all your experience it should be easy.

Hint: Slow down the speed knob as you near the previous days mark.

This time, no marks just hit the select button when you match the frequencies and the dBs (volume)

Turn the machine on to listen.

1 hour and you are done.

Do this for 2 more days (8 & 9)

To see how much you have improved, try for the dB mark again. More than 3 dB and you have dropped 50%. If you are up to 8 dB, your tinnitus is gone

If you are no better, wait one week and listen again for 3 days.

There are no downsides to repeat listenings.

10% of all patients change frequencies at 6 months. This is universal, and you can treat it by re-matching your frequencies!!

I am very interested in your success or failure and any suggestions.
